How addon works
Access the addon, then Switch to >> Settings tabs.
Explanation of Settings Tab
- Enter Google Place API key: Enter the API key, which is a special code that helps in finding addresses automatically.
- Enable on (Checkout / Customer profile): Selecting different options such as customer profile, and checkout will activate the Google address auto-complete feature on each of these individual pages.
- Select countries: When the admin clicks on the field, a list of countries will appear. They can select the countries for which they want to show address suggestions.
- Current location: Enabling the checkbox allows the system to show the user's current geographical address.
- Allow for vendor account: Enabling the checkbox allows the vendor to use the address auto-complete function on the vendor panel.
- Enable Auto location detection: When this is enabled, the admin will see the nearest location first in the suggestions list.
- House number first: When this is enabled, the house number will appear first in the address field.
Functionality of Google Address Auto-Complete on the Storefront
- Go to the >> Storefront
- Click on >> Any Product
- Then, Click on >> Add to Cart
- Press the >> Checkout button
- On this checkout page, the location icon helps customers quickly get their full current address. Just click on the icon to see the complete address.
- If the customer types a few characters or numbers of their address, they will see suggestions for the rest of the address below.
Address Autocomplete in Customer Profiles (Admin Panel)
- Go to >> Customers menu
- Click on >> Customers
- Click on >> Any customer ID
- Address: Now in the address field, the admin can type a few characters, and the rest of the address will appear in the suggestions. They can then choose the correct one.
Google Address Auto-Complete in Customer Profile (Storefront)
- Go to >> My Account
- Click on >> the Profile Details
- Customer profile details in the storefront allow customers to use Google address autocomplete to fill in their addresses with suggestions. They can also use the location icon to get their current address.
