Restrict Fake Registration

The CS-Cart Restrict Fake Registration addon helps store admins block fake user registrations. The addon blocks registrations from specific email domains by uploading a list (CSV file) or adding them manually. Admins can also set character limits for first and last names during registration. If users break these rules, they will see a clear error notification. 

The addon improves store security by blocking fake signups, reducing fraud and spam. It keeps your database clean with accurate customer information. It also enhances the user experience by ensuring a secure and organized site.

Features

• Block Unwanted Email Domains: You can upload a CSV file with a list of email domains to block. Users will not be able to register using any of the listed email domains.
• Custom Email Domain Restrictions: You can manually add more email domains to block by typing them into a field, separated by commas.
• Limit First Name Characters: You can set a limit on how many characters users can enter for their first name during registration.
• Limit Last Name Characters: You can set a limit on how many characters users can enter for their last name during registration.
• Error Notifications: Users will see an error if they use a blocked email domain or exceed the character limit for names. 
• CS-Cart Support Info: The addon is well integrated with CS-Cart Multi-Vendor and can be used with its Standard, Plus, and Ultimate versions.

How Addon Works 

• Open the Addon 

Switch to >> Settings tab

• Select File: Admin can upload a CSV file with a list of fake or unwanted email domains. Now, no one is allowed to register with the email domains listed in the file.
• Restricted Email Domain: This allows admins to add multiple email domains in the field. You can enter a comma-separated list of domains to block more email domains from registering.
• First Name Character Limit: This allows to set the maximum number of characters for the first name during registration. 
• Last Name Character Limit: This allows to set the maximum number of characters for the last name during registration. 

• In the Storefront, Go to >> My Account 
• Click on >> "Register" Button

Restricted Name Characters 

• The error notification occurred because the first and last names exceeded the allowed character limit. 

Restricted Email Domain 

• This error notification indicates that the email domain we used is restricted. Users must use an email domain that is not listed in the CSV file or not included in the restricted email domain field in the admin panel.

• Registration will be successful when the user meets all the conditions, including character limits and a valid email domain.
